The founder of the Salesian Congregation
Saint Don Bosco
Don Bosco, also known as Saint John Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest, educator, and founder of the Salesian Society. Born in 1815, he dedicated his life to helping poor and abandoned youth, especially in the rapidly industrializing city of Turin. He believed in educating the whole person—body, mind, and soul—using a method based on reason, religion, and loving-kindness. Don Bosco’s work continues today through the Salesians, a worldwide religious community that runs schools, youth centers, and missions.
Family Spirit
Salesians create a welcoming, supportive environment where young people feel at home, loved, and valued—like a family that walks together with trust and joy.
Education
Education is at the heart of the Salesian mission, forming not only minds but also hearts, preparing young people for life with strong values and skills.
Oratory
The oratory is a space of play, prayer, learning, and friendship—a community where young people grow through joy, freedom, and meaningful relationships.
Spiritual Development
Salesians guide the youth in deepening their relationship with God, helping them grow in faith through prayer, sacraments, and everyday holiness.

“Walk with your feet on earth, but in your heart be in heaven.”

Saint Don Bosco
